Milan Report 2011: ‘Luce Tempo Luogo’ by Toshiba LED lighting

The century-old Cortile building on Via Savona was the venue for ‘Luce Tempo Luogo’, a mesmerising installation created by architects Dorell.Ghotmeh.Tane (DGT) in partnership with technology company Toshiba. DGT worked to induce an emotional response to the space, installing 21st-century technology in the entrance, courtyard and interior. Inside curtains of water were lit by pulses of LED light in a dazzling show of how new technologies can bring new layers of experience to historic venues.
