Milan Report 2011: Patricia Urquiola at Palazzo Durini

Patricia Urquiola’s limited-edition artwork ‘To Waste or Not to Waste’ was one of the more interactive works to feature in Ricognizioni, an exhibition held by Nilufar Gallery at Palazzo Durini. The shimmering interactive artwork was constructed from layers of sequins on a canvas background so that when the canvas is touched, the imagery and words fluctuate. Alongside other non-production pieces by Urquiola, the exhibition featured limited-edition furniture, art and lighting by Michael Anastassiades, Andrea Salvetti and Studio Nucleo. Works were arranged in a series of installations within the rooms of the Palazzo, a little known 17th-century palace in central Milan.
