Escape to Thailand

Vogue Living acting art director Aleksandra Beare recently snuck away for five indulgent days in Thailand, courtesy of Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Renaissance Hotels and Qantas. Her trip took her from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, with its markets and slick inner-city hotels, to the tranquil waters of the Andaman Sea on the country’s south coast. Here’s a visual diary of her travels.

In Krabi on Thailand’s southern coast, Vogue Living stayed at the luxurious Phulay Bay – A Ritz Carlton Reserve. Located on the Andaman Sea, the six-star resort has 54 one-bedroom pavilions and villas and offers guests a 24-hour butler service. It is the closest resort to Phang-Nga Bay and offers unique access to the bay’s 200 islands via complimentary boat shuttles to Hong Island and sightseeing tours.

In Bangkok, Vogue Living checked in to the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel. Visit

Aleks flew Qantas Business Class from Sydney to Bangkok. Fares start from $4,396 per person. Visit

To get to Phulay Bay, there are direct flights to Krabi from Bangkok. Alternatively,  its possible to travel by boat from Phuket.
