New Alexandria eats: Cipro Pizza Sydney

Headed by some esteemed alumni of one of Sydney’s hottest restaurants, Rockpool Bar and Grill – namely Khan Danis, Catherine Adams, Angel Fernandez and manager Penny Watson-Green – Cipro Pizza al Taglio (Italian for pizza by the slice) serves up seasonally adorned slices, tempting desserts and even offers pizza for breakfast.


Currently on the menu are foodie versions of the classics, like the pork and veal meatball pizza or the breakfast slice with mushrooms, fetta and scrambled eggs, and those after something a little lighter can order the polenta with braised artichokes, olives, peas, mint and broad beans. On offer for dessert are ricotta, choc chip and almond tarts, dreamy brioche puddings, and Catherine’s original nutter butter cookies.linebreak



Expect queueing, crowds and noise: Cipro Pizza is egalitarian dining at its Alexandria best.
