Dining on the Gold Coast: Helm Bar Surfers

Bringing a bit of Sydney to the Gold Coast (in the form of pulled pork sliders, artisanal beer and fruity cocktails laced with agave syrup), is Helm Bar Surfers, the newly renovated bistro by the owners of Helm Bar in Darling Harbour.

The new interior – designed by Peckvonhartel, the firm behind Sydney’s Jamie’s Italian and The Royce Hotel in Melbourne – was inspired by the aquatic activities like sailing, surfing and fishing that the location is famous for.

linebreakCatering functions as well as dinner and weekday lunch specials, the bistro menu includes affordable pizzas, pub staples like burgers and fish and chips, and the already popular sharing plates All Aboard Meat Board and Ocean Lovers Plate.
